A HISTORY OF TRADITION...
Established in the heart of the Laval region for over 70 years, Grover Farm specializes in the production of annual flowers and the design of various types of flowering plants. In the beginning, Grover Farm had three individual wooden greenhouses in which a variety of annuals were produced in cases. At that time, Grover Farm was also known for its field-grown produce such as corn, tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers. In 1981, Mr. Jean-Claude Grover took over the company and began the greenhouse culture.
Through the years, Grover Farm has substantially developed its facilities by building two integrated greenhouse complexes. The work began in 2003 and was conducted in 4 phases. Later, in 2012, 14 new greenhouses were added to the second complex in order to house its constantly changing production. In 2013, still not having enough space to meet demand, the company began building 12 individual greenhouses. Grover Farm now totals a 636 538 square foot area.
NAMED “BUSINESS OF THE MONTH IN OCTOBER 2009” BY THE LAVAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY, GROVER FARM WAS THE FIRST COMPANY IN QUEBEC TO INSTALL A COMPLEMENTARY SYSTEM TO RECUPERATE WATER, THUS ALLOWING TO REUSE IRRIGATION WATER THAT WOULD OTHERWISE BE LOST.
As customer satisfaction is a concern, in the future Grover Farm will strive to stay on top of new horticultural trends on the market all while maintaining the public’s classic favorites.
